Newcastle Arms, Old Basford, Nottingham

The Newcastle Arms used to be an Home Ales tied house. This pub is quite large and is on a very busy road it used to have two rooms but these have been knocked into one large room which i think has spoilt it,there was one handpump and this had Theakstons Best on i think i was the first person to have a drink of this as it was quite warm even when this drink is served at its best ime not that struck on it. The pub was fairly busy mid afternoon and everybody else was drinking lager or cider.There are a few picnic tables at the front if you like traffic fumes i dont think i would go here again.
