The Belle Vue, Mapperley, Nottingham

The Belle Vue used to be a Shipstones tied house and it is on the Nottingham city side of mapperley. There used to be a couple of rooms in here with a smart lounge and a bar,Shipstones mild and bitter were on the bar and both of these were real ales. Sadly this is another Nottingham pub to bite the dust. Photo taken August 1990

I watched an old couple enter a pub full of bikers, then saw Landlord Chris welcome them and introduce them to a motley crew, they had a great night as we all do, with great staff, music you can talk over excellant ales and often with free food.
