Dipton Mill Inn, Hexham

A delightful but isolated pub, covered in vines, with the interior like ceilinged with exposed joists. The walls and bar are wood panelled and there's a big stone fireplace with a solid fuel stove. Seating is mostly settles and window seats, with some small tables in the middle of the room. A dining room in in an extension at the rear, along with the very modern toilets. There are five hand pumps with two of the Hexamshire beers, brewed behind the pub, plus a cider. The Northumberland County IPA and the Tyneside Pale were both very good (NBSS 4).
