The Wheatsheaf, Daventry

Will concur with the previous reviewer that the Wheatsheaf is a good looking stone pub with a great position on the village Green in Braunston , but unfortunately the interior does not match and is more akin to a social club interior with the emphasis on Sky sports and fruit machines complemented by skittles table and pool table. Again only two of the four pumps operational for our visit with Hancocks HB and Greene King Abbot and my half of HB was average to say the least. Also got the feeling that this one was missing some essential TLC and subsequently finding that the lease of the Wheatsheaf is currently up for sale makes me wonder how long this one has got to go as a pub.
