The Griffin Hotel, Selby

Busy town pub aimed at drinkers, which might sound obvious but you probably know what I mean. Adequate, but nothing special.

The Griffin is a large pub that is at the bottom end of what looks like a market place but is used as a car park. Once inside there is a largish single L shaped room with the bar facing,the room is part carpeted and bare boarded,the seating bench seating and small stools,there is a pool table to the right and a raised area to the front left. There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter which was a decent drink,the other beer was Doom Bar. Food was being served and background music was playing. I thought this was a pretty decent pub to have a drink in. Pub visited 13/2/2106
