The New Inn, Pickering

Small hotel with a medium sized bar with a stone fireplace and a larger dining area to the side. The place had a new but rustic look inside with wooden beams throughout, red carpet in the dining area and a wooden floor in the bar area. The place had a welcoming feel, I thought. GBG 2012 entry. On handpull there was Theakston’s Black Bull (a regular) with Rudgate Viking and Wharefdale Slinger’s Gold as guest ales (although I was told by the barman that they cut it down to one guest in the winter). Nice place that I would happily return to.
