One of a couple of pubs in the village of Lund, this one was empty on my Friday afternoon appearance. Even the barman/landlord seemed surprised to see a customer. You enter the side of the pub from a car park into a small reception area, where large crests for the 2 rugby league teams and the football team from Hull are displayed. In the bar itself, there is plenty of Liverpool FC memorabilia displayed, which didn't particularly inspire me. There is a pool table and dartboard in one corner, whilst TVs were showing coverage of the new King's trip to Wales. My half of Wold Top Wold Gold was in very good condition and was quite enjoyable, considering I'm not normally a fan of golden beers. So, all credit to the beer quality. This was however, the solitary real ale. A couple of other workmen did appear during my visit and were more interested in the lagers. So, I guess the ale does not turn over too well. I believe there was a dining area on the other side of the pub, which I didn't explore. It looks as though they only serve food in the evenings during the week.

This pub is on the main road through the village and there is no front door to this pub the entrance is at the side,i went in the room at the front which was long and fairly narrow there was also a room at the back but i did'nt have a look at this. There was only one real ale on here this was Tetley bitter and this was a decent drink.The pub was fairly busy with locals on my visit and i was quite happy having a drink in here.
