The Lobster, Sheringham

Tidy, semi nautically themed pub sited in a prominent position at the foot of High Street.On my lunchtime visit they had a log fire on the go,and had a fairly large bank of cask beers on,although not all the pumps were not all functional,but the pub did seem to be doing a fair trade in the food department.

This traditional seafearers pub is well worth a look in. This two roomed pub had seven ales on offer, one of them on stillage. The left hand side was very trad with brass ornaments and bits and bobs, the other side was more modern with some black and white patterned wallpaper. Maybe trying to attract a younger crowd, to me it looked out of place. Woodfordes Sundew was spot on.

We arrived at the back end of a beer festival and there was a wide selection of real ales including a couple I hadn't tasted before. Whether they are regulars or not I wouldn't know. Food however is good again both bar meals and restaurant style. Imaginative combinations of local ingredients.
