The Ten Bells, Norwich

This is now a trendy pub and was refurbished 18 months ago. The bar is situated on the right as you walk in and in the evening when it's lit up, it looks a bit like a nightclub. You go down from the raised bar area to a central L-shaped lounge, where there is a red telephone box. The wood panelling is painted and there are candles on the tables. It does attract a different type of drinker and prices are steep, expect to pay £3.60 a pint in here. There were four ales on handpump, I went for the Cambridge Atom Splitter, which have to say was excellent.

this was never a great pub..but it did have a certain something and i spent many a gd night in there. but someone had a brainstorm and rip the heart out of this lil boozer.. its now all bare wood and terrible..i guess their going for a trendy middle class set. never going to step into this pub again.

The Ten Bells is a smallish Greene King tied house and it is at the edge of the city centre. I had a drink of GK IPA which was nothing special. Please note:This pub does'nt open untill 4.00 in the afternoon.
