Great Beer and great food, but often I feel it would be nice to have a separate area, purely to enjoy the beer, without the foodies being around. Some of the best beer available anywhere though, the Mild being my particular favourite!

If you like Woodforde's beers, (I don't,) then this is the place to visit as it is literally the brewery tap. There is one long bar, with two rooms at either end, predictably called the malt room and the hop room. The full range of their beers are available, all drawn by gravity from behind the bar. Food is popular and looked good. The garden area is well kept, with a waterfall being added to the pond when we were there. Overall it is a bit twee for me, but worth a visit.
