Lollards Pit, Norwich

This was my last stop in Norwich, before heading to the train station. I'd passed it many times before, but this time decided to visit. Whilst my stay was very brief and I don't recall too much about the interior, the pub and the range of beers was better than I had expected. The 2 regular beers are Woodforde's Wherry & Nelson's Revenge. Bure Gold from Woodforde's was also on, along with Mr Winter's Twin Parallel & Moon Gazer Jigfoot. There were also 4 ciders - Lilley's Apple & Blackberry Cider, Mango Cider & Red Rabbit & Norfolk Raider Gator 24. Certainly a pub I will not pass by next time I'm in Norwich.

Re-opened and renamed from the Bridge House, with a number of old features retained but otherwise over-refurbished at some stage to leave a semi-modern look. Four local(ish) beers on handpump: Wolf Edith Cavell and Golden Jackal (£3.00), plus Woodforde's Sundew and Nelson's Revenge. A bit mixed, but certainly worth another visit once things have settled in a bit. (NB - Review dates from August 2012.)

Four good local ales served here, two from Woodfordes and two from Wolf Brewery. This is a comfortable pub with a chatty landlord. The Wolf Golden Jackal was spot on.

The Bridge House has reopened and is now called Lollards Pit. Once inside the bar is to the left,the main room looked a bit dark,there was a slope down to a room which had a pool table in it. There were six pumps on the bar with two in use,these had Woodforde's Wherry and Sunset on. I did'nt get to try a drink in here,the landlord said the pub opens properly next week and he was'nt yet ready to serve me,this was a bit dissapointing. Attempted Visit 30/6/2012
