The Mariners, Great Yarmouth

I really liked this place. Very friendly and when I went in a great selection of Green Jack beers. I think they tend to have lots of beers from 1 brewery on as when a friend went in they had loads of St Austell on.

This heavily beamed ivy clad pub is located in an idyllic setting on the banks of a canal basin.The building has stood here since the early 1700's and was an old tithe barn that used to store corn. It has a barn like interior with various pieces of old farming equipment on display.I sampled the York Brewery's Guzzler (3.6%ABV)which was quite a decent pint.Ifound the staff friendly and helpful,and will certainly be calling in again next time i am in the area.

This is probably the only pub in Yarmouth (trust me there is nothing great about Yarmouth) that serves a good selection of quality beer. A very friendly local pub.
