The Black Horse, Sudbury Hill, Wembley

This large Ember Inns pub has a lounge bar feel with the soft colours giving off an orange glow and the easy listening music sapping out any thoughts of getting bladdered. I think that most people go here to eat anyway and the food looked ok and was very reasonably priced. For a mainly dining pub I was surprised to see Bombardier, Nutty Black, Batemans GHB, Pride and Abbot Ale all available alongside a standard draught selection. If the quality of the ale is the same as the Guinness I would recommend it to others as I had a well poured pint that came in at a refreshing £2.90 a pint. There is a large grassed beer garden out the back which has rows of picnic tables and also a covered shelter for the smokers. There are also a few more tables out the front along with a large car park to the side of the pub. The staff were polite, but I don’t plan on returning here just for a beer again as I found it a little sterile.
