The Brook, Brentford

This one was initially shut when I rucked up just after 2.00pm making me think that this new incarnation doesn’t open until 4.00pm on a weekday as it was open by the time I returned after doing the other three of the Griffin Park pubs. Wasn’t too many in but I did quite like this one and sat in the front bar room with its six pumps. Windsor and Elton Father Thames and Knight of the Garter and Harvey’s Best were on the right hand three and three ciders were on the other bank. Although it’s many years since I visited this one previously I can still remember enough to know that this new incarnation is far superior to my memories and probably elevates it to the best pub of the Griffin Park quartet, but that’s not actually saying much.

I was in the first week it opened and was delighted with the changes they have made,Nice beer garden and now has an entrance from the front bar.Friendly staff.Same beers as previous review.Good conditioned Hophead and Plum Porter on further visit.They had a couple of keg Hardywood (usa).Food looked good.
