The Star Inn, Ashford

I've been there to watch bands play, and they have good bands on. It's just a shame that you can't actually see them as there's a great big chimney breast in the way. Located right by the river and the park you'd think they'd capitalise on the location for the tourist/family trade. They don't seem to. And they have three hand pumps with rarely more than one ale on. It's a firm favourite of several of my drinking mates, but I can take or leave the place. As has been said before, it needs to decide what sort of pub it wants to be.
