Popular village local, family-friendly and with a fine atmosphere. The traditional building is partially obscured by the large umbrellas covering the front patio area, but once inside you find much of the original layout (although the partion walls are mostly now 'bare bone' screens). Four 'rooms', comprisng two drinking areas adjacent to the bar and two further spaces more suited to dining. Notably efficient bar staff dealing with a busy Sunday lunchtime crowd. Three Shepherd Neame beers available on handpump - Master Brew, Spitfire and Early Bird (£3.50).
