The Turnpike, Withington, Manchester

The Turnpike is a plain looking pub that is set in a row of shops. Once inside i went in a decent sized room that was the bar there was probably a lounge to the rear of the pub,this pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Old Brewery bitter and this was a very nice drink that was also quite cheap. I was happy enough having a drink in here. No doubt the gaffa at Samuel Smiths will be unhappy about me showing one of his pubs with with their signs outside. Pub visited 4/4/1993
