Nelson Tavern, Manchester

The Nelson Tavern is a community local with a U-shaped bar counter at the rear that serves the main front open plan bar and a pool room with two pool tables to the right rear. There is additional seating in the walkway between the main bar and pool room. Televisions throughout were airing evening news with sound and the jukebox was off, or had no money in it. Sky Sports is advertised. Out the back is a surprisingly large patio garden. This pub is too far from the main drag to warrant a return visit so I think I’ll be leaving it to the locals in future.
