An opened out pub that obviously used to be muliple rooms, although there are still distinct areas. Several TVs dotted around the place and lots of old pictures on the walls. There's an old range in the middle of one room and a couple of decent fireplaces. Northern Soul was playing in the background which is fine by me. 5 handpumps on the bar but only 2 on serving the totally boring Robinsons Unicorn and Sharps Atlantic, which was in good nick. A nice enough pub let down by the ale choice.

The Crown is a decent looking pub that is in didsburys main shopping area. I quite liked the look of this pub from the outside and i was'nt dissapointed once inside,there were a few different rooms i had a drink in the room at the front this room was quite smart and comfortable. When i went in this pub it was a Greenalls tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Greenalls bitter and this was a decent drink the othe rbeer was Greenalls mild. I was quite happy having a drink in this pub. Pub visited 4/4/1993
