The Church Inn, Manchester

A small backstreet locals pub surrounded by the uni buildings. One L shaped room with a tiny beer garden at the rear. 2 friendly, sweary, locals sat at the bar were well up for a chat. 2 handpumps on the bar, but only Lees MPA available on my visit which was in decent nick. The landlady told me that she's a relief manager and is running the pub until a permanent replacement can be found.

A nice little pub away from the main drag. A JW Lees pub with 2 handpumps on today but with only 1 on serving Draymans Reward. A small main bar that's quite pleasant. Had MPA bunting around the bar but it wasn't on today. An outside area to the rear. I liked it.

The Church Inn is a small pub that stands on its own,since my visit several years ago this area has altered quite a lot with ugly new buildings built either side of this proper old pub. The pub was quite basic inside with a small bar and one other room that was also quite small. This pub is a Lees tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Lees bitter and this was a decent drink,i was happy enough having a drink in here and it is nice to see the pub still open. Pub visited 11/12/1993
