The Duke Of Edinburgh, Wood Green, N22

This is a nice out of the way pub where one can relax over a pint of standard draught or Staropramen. However, I thought that the Scottish guy behind the jump could brush up on his customer service skills as a hello and thank you goes a long way when a newcomer walks into a pub. This is a good sized L- shaped pub that has been recently refurbished with a couple of plasma screens and a projector screen and Sky Sports along with a pool table. There is plenty of seating out the front in a decked area and there is also a beer garden out the back that I didn't get to see, but it looked nice enough in the photo advertisement at the front of the pub. I don't think that this is a hidden backstreet gem, but I would make the three minute walk from the high street to drink here again.
