This place is bigger than it looks from the outside as the pub stretches back quite a way from the bar area at the front. There is even more space in a well kept paved area beer garden out the back that is decorated with lots of plant pots. It is a gastro pub so food is served, but my visit was late one recent midweek day so I didn’t spot anyone eating. It wasn’t very busy to be honest and there were nearly as many dogs in as people. I spotted a small DJ booth that wasn’t being used, but the jukebox was working and someone had put on every song from a greatest reggae hits album. There were a couple of ales that I fail to remember and a premium lager selection. I had a Guinness which was well served by a professional guy working the bar. There’s not really anything wrong with this place, but I think that there are better pubs in the area.
