The Crown, E8

A cosy and warm feeling locals pub, well attended and traditionally furnished. Horse racing was on TV adding to the local/Irish pub feel. The two handpumps on the bar were unused and this seems to be a permanent state of affairs, the keg options were mostly the standard usual suspects plus some Beavertown Neck Oil and Five Points Pale. Despite the lack beer interest here I found myself quite liking the pub.

Now called the crown but still retains some of it’s Irish vibe. No real ale.

Tommy Flynn's is a small looking pub from the outside. Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room with the bar on the right side,the room is bare boarded with the seating being wood backed bench seating and normal tables and chairs in the middle area,there was a TV showing some something which i did'nt take much notice of. There were no real ales on the bar which was not a surprise,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap which was a pretty crap drink. The pub was quite busy with older drinkers on my late Saturday afternoon visit. This seems to be a popular pub,but it is not my sort of pub. Pub visited 4/10/2014
