The Widows Son, E3

Visited 27/07/26. Visited previously on 24/03/25. No cask. Keg offering of Camden Pale, Eazy IPA, Hells and Stout, then Asahi, Lowenbrau, Stella, Peroni, Mahou, Leffe Blonde and Kopparberg Crisp Apple cider. My last visit here accompanied by a flat iPhone and so rare paper notes but lost by the time I came to add to PG so a revisit to review. Old school venue on a very busy stretch of road by Devon's Road DLR station. There is a good amount of seating at the side on a paved area. Inside the venue is bare boarded with the bar counter in the rear middle to right hand corner. There is a dartboard to the right of the bar counter. Fixed tall stool seating at the bar counter with regular tables and chairs in the space around the bar counter. There is a large rectangular table served by small stools in the front right-hand corner with a beaten up red studded leather sofa to the side of it. Seating over on the left-hand side just a couple of studded leather sofas serving regular tables and a rather grand chandelier just high enough to be not a threat to those getting up and down in this area. A single TV was switched off and a rather psychedelic soundtrack playing. There are some impressive etched glass panels on the rear wall to the left of the bar counter and a rather beaten-up venue mirror on the wall to the left of the entrance.
