Good, busy Fullers pub with the seasonal range always available. Good rear patio. Comedy club on fri/sat.Still has a traditional feel about it.

Upon my visit to the George IV I found 4 barmaids behind the bar. One was cleaning cutlery whilst another two were counting stock and the forth was having trouble using the till. After about four minutes of me standing there like a mug a local that was waiting for his whisky to be topped up lost his patience and shouted at them. A stunned barmaid approached and asked if I wanted anything. I asked for a half of Carling and was served a pint. The usual lagers were available along with ESB, Pride, London Porter and Discovery. There was a very nice display of Pride bottles, cups and glasses behind the bar, but I wonder how long the punters had to wait to be served whilst it was erected. It's a very big pub with a patio garden and some seating outside at the front. At the back of the pub there are some stairs leading skywards which I think lead to more seating. There is a raised area at the front between the entrances with some tables and chairs at the windows and a bonus was that they do have a dartboard. Apart from the staff being oblivious to the customers I quite like this pub, even though it is not the cheapest.
