The Lord Herbert, Plumstead Common, SE18

The Lord Herbert is a decent looking stand alone pub that is situated at the end of some grotty looking shops. Once inside the room is square shaped with the bar facing,there is some comfy bench seating to the left with small stools,there is a slight raised area to the front right,the pool table is in a small area to the rear left,the room is carpeted and seemed quite smart in my opinion. There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was a decent enough drink,the other beer was Old Speckled Hen. Decent background music was playing and the pub was quite busy on my Saturday afternoon visit. This is a decent locals pub that is a lot better than i thought it would be. Pub visited 2/5/2015
