Railway Bell, SE19

Lovely looking backstreet boozer, inside the room wraps around a centrally stationed bar. From the six pumps three beers were available, Youngs Bitter and Special plus St Austell Tribute, the latter being in good shape. On the down side the pub was empty at 1.30 on a Sunday lunchtime but live music was being advertised for later in the afternoon in the garden,maybe everyone were saving themselves for later. Could do with a bit more adventure on the beer front but nice pub.

The Railway Bell is a long standing Youngs tied house that has been on my list to do for a long time. Once inside there is a single U shaped room with the bar to the front,the room is carpeted and has comfy bench seating,there was a TV to the rear left showing snooker and there was also a darts board to the rear left. There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Youngs Bitter which went down well,the other beer was Youngs Special. This is a proper pub and it was also quite busy on my mid Saturday afternoon visit. I quite liked this pub. Pub visited 16/4/2016
