Amersham Arms, New Cross, SE14

This pub had Harveys Best on during my visit, but the spitfire was off and there is a limited standard draught selection along with Red Stripe, Amstel and Stowford Press cider. The barman was polite when he finally served me and my Guinness was good. The bar area is dimly lit high with a high ceiling and at night it turns into a late license live music venue. I've been in far worse pubs, but this place isn't really my bag so I think that I will leave it to the students in future
