Previously called the Huntingdon, The Cuckoo is a stripped out L-shaped pub with little atmosphere. In fact at 21:00 on Saturday night Mellow Magic was being piped through some cheap speakers and the only people in attendance were a young couple that weren’t speaking to each other and a local sitting at the bar chatting to the woman behind it. She was very friendly and the Guinness was pretty good, but I walked out rather depressed and wished I had continued walking past. There is a standard draught selection alongside Adnams which was off and there is a leaning towards food with advertisements everywhere. There is also a quiz every Wednesday and a function room is available for hire.
