The Pineapple, SW1

A Greene King tied house down a back street ,the interior has been opened out with lots of large high tables in the centre,more raised seating booths on the way to the external beer terrace,partly covered which then extends along half of the passage way below some flats.All tables both inside and out are numbered but the food menu looked standard pub grub at tourist prices. At the bar GK IPA and a seasonal Hopping Special amber (awful brew,NBSS 2,£3.60 the half rip off ) were doubled up.Noisy with afterwork civil servants ,no where to sit I couldn't wait to leave .I will never darken it's door again.

The Pineapple until 1974 when the current name arrived, revolving around an African colonial theme, according to CAMRA; someone’s playing with fire here, given the current climate. It has a fairly modern interior with a raised rear. Modern boarded with dark panelling and a white ceiling. Furniture is either tall and chunky – like some of the customers – along with studded oxblood banquets; muzak played in the background. Ales presented amounted to Tribute, GK IPA and Landlord at £2.90 and good. This place is ok, but like the other pubs round here, not great.
