Sols Arms, Euston, NW1

This was a modern pub which came into existence at the same time as the office. However, it took its name from a former Victorian pub once located in close proximity. A bland interior with a stepped area to the rear, this wasn't worth any kind of effort and was in a dreary area. Its final incarnation was no great loss and I wouldn't have returned.

Corner pub facing Euston road/ Tottenham Court Road junction, not too close though. lots of windows so you can see the world passing by. Some of the doors facing the corner open wide to give an open plan feeling. Hope they only do it in the summer as it gets draughty around the base of the Euston Tower. It will blow your froth off. Sells real ale and food served all day. Only one person serving Wednesday lunch time, luckily it wasn't too busy. Worth a visit.
