The Hop Poles, Hammersmith, W6

Visited 02/03/26. Visited previously 02/08/23 Cask was a solitary hand pump dispensing LPride with two unused hand pumps. Large keg range of Heineken AF, Camden Hells, berries & cherries Old Mount cider, Cruz, Amstel, Asahi, Peroni, Moretti (both varieties), Inch’s, Guinness, Jubel Peach lager, Brixton Reliance Pale Ale, the Juicy Chug Hazy IPA from Jiddler’s Tipple, Neck Oil, Gamma Ray and Camden Pale Ale. Large venue, mixture of bare boarded and sections of patterned ceramic tiles. The bar counter is on the opposite wall to the entrance and is L shaped into the left-hand side of the venue. There are some tall tables and stools just inside the entrance then seating on the left-hand side is via regular tables and chairs. The rear part of the venue has a mix of regular tables and chairs, a booth table in the middle of the back wall with a pool table in front of it. There are some impressive etched glass mirrors on the back of the wall that is the other side of the bar counter. There are more bench, larger regular tables and booths on the left-hand side of the venue from the rear to the front. High ceilings and large glass front windows the order of the day with a shed load of TV screens all showing same non-descript channel on my visit. The pop soundtrack was barely audible on my visit, and the venue was popular with a younger post work crowd. Can’t say I would make a third visit here!

Decent pub not far from the tube station. Pride and Doom Bar on when I called in. The Pride was fine. Happy to have visited and would do so again.

A trendified old pub with various decorations obscuring the remaining original features. The layout includes a row of dining tables down one side and a 'cocktail corner' at the rear, with some oversized benches at the front and a café-style area round behind the bar. A roof terrace was signed upstairs but was not visited. Draught ales were TT Landlord, Hobgoblin and Doom Bar: condition just acceptable.
