Kings Head, W2

Dating from 1832 but rebuilt in 1926, this was a Taylor Walker pub, recently taken over by Greene King - out of the frying pan... On entering you know what to expect and the reviews below apply, except that the number of TVs have multiplied and greatly increased in size, showing the boxing with the sound off on this occasion, so as not to compete with the mindless popstrel singing on the gramophone. Décor seemed to be dominated by all the Six Nations guff which is what you'd expect in an establishment of this type. There were three ales: GK IPA, Abbot and Sambrook's Powerhouse Porter which was absolutely rancid. This is a very poor pub indeed and is indicative of this benighted neighbourhood, so a return is off the cards.

Believe it used to be branded as Taylor Walker now Greene King branding. Usual bare boarded interior with tiles at the bar. 5 real ale taps 3 on during my visit.
