The Victoria, W2

Well described by others, below, this pub was one of the better ones we visited during our brief London visit. The TV was showing live sports, the locals were good company and the beer was good. Ales on were Hophead Dark Star, ESB, Twickenham Summer Sun, Oliver’s Island and Salcombe Gold, plus Sheppey’s Original cider on tap. The keg range was Asahi, Frontier, Peroni, Guinness, Neck Oil, Tiny Rebel’s Easy Living and Cornish Orchards Golden. I’d be happy to include this one in a crawl in the future.

I was looking forward to visiting this pub given the previous reviews and indeed it looked very popular on approach. Unfortunately upon arrival a notice on the door informed me it was closed for a private function between three and six and how they apologised for any inconvenience, well the apology didn't help much I'll just have to try another time, I shall refrain from giving a poor mark on this occasion.
