Angel in the Fields, Marylebone, W1

Square-ish corner bar, most notable for the decorative stained and etched windows. Dark wood panelling and furniture. Darts in one corner. Lounge bar upstairs (not visited). Adopts the annoying Sam Smiths policy found in many of its London pubs of not having the cask version of OBB, so resorted to the Extra Stout (nice enough, but hardly the cheap pint it once was at £3.40). This is an attractive and comfortable looking Sam Smith’s pub. But it still only has the keg version of Old Brewery Bitter, which is a shame as it looks to be a pretty decent pub. I doubt whether it will be getting my custom.

This is a Sam Smiths pub with old ornate windows that are worth a look, but there is no Old Brewery Bitter on hand pump leaving only limited draught products. Staff were very friendly, but this is not the best example of an SS pub.
