Cannot improve on 'OK but nothing special'. Also found it OK for a pint if you’re passing, but not worth going out of your way for. And even less so as it is currently covered in scaffolding and therefore less appealing from the outside. Courage Best and Admans still the available beers.

They had Courage Best and Adnam’s Bitter on. The Adnam’s was £3 per pint, which now seems to be the Central London going rate for an average pint of beer. But it tasted OK. Seating comprises plastic covered banquettes and tables, plus high stools around ledges by the windows. The layout of this pub remains unchanged since it was one of my regular haunts back in the 70s. This is another one of those OK but nothing special pubs. OK for a pint if you’re passing, but not worth going out of your way for.
