The Rugby Tavern, Bloomsbury, WC1

An attractively tiled exterior leads in to a pleasantly traditional interior with a few oil paintings hung around the walls. No longer a Shepherd Neame pub, there were two ales on among the four handles on the bar, Hobgoblin and Landlord, the latter was in decent shape but I was slightly taken aback at the £7.50 price tag, I know this is central London but come on, that's pushing it a bit. A nice pub but I'll be avoiding a return at those prices, no surprise I was the only customer.

Standard London corner bar. Shepherd Neame outlet so Spitfire was the order of the day. Average pub.
