The Still, Lincoln

A nice, Victorian layout, an island servery as you enter with bars to right and left, lots of stained glass and dark wood, carpeted and with banquettes and Britannia tables. Very nice display of old photos and documents in one little area, other seating areas are screened off the main bars and worth exploring. The beer however is a sad array of Carlsberg dross badged as Marstons and other former UK brands.

A CAMRA national inventory pub with multiple rooms, lots of wood panelling, interesting glass panels and a real mix of clientele. The only cask ale available was Pedigree, but this was in decent nick. We sat in the lounge area to the right as a couple of noisy lads were playing on the pool table in the other main room. Loads of TVs which were quite intrusive, but with fairly low volume. It's a good looking pub, but I doubt it will become a regular haunt.
