The Walnut Tree, Bourne End

A Greene King pub, bar faces as you enter then left through a corridor to a dining area. A ghastly grey-green coloured interior, up to and including the ceiling beams. Unused inglenook sits forlornly. Selection of papers available. Four pumps with a decent selection in the circumstances - GK Abbot & IPA, Westerham Bulldog (ok) and Titanic Iceberg (very good) served up by a friendly barman who then promptly forgot to charge us for the beer! Needs a proper interior decorator in but apart from that, it’s fair.

Visited this pub today. It was a lovely day and I was in a good mood. Left because of the rudeness of one of the staff. The one in question happened to be sitting outside the front door smoking a cigarette which is really conducive to encouraging people to go in.
