The Coach & Horses is a small Bateman’s pub with banquettes across the front windows and up the left after an interesting fireplace. There’s lots of oddities on the walls and at the rear are a pool table and dartboard. I didn’t note any televisions, but there was some 1980s background music playing, adverts included unfortunately. Standard keg was available alongside Cruzcampo and also three hand pumps that were drawing XB, XXXB and Dark M, the latter going down well with a packet of Quavers. This isn’t somewhere I’d go out of my way to revisit, but I’d pop in if passing.

A tidy corner Bateman's pub that is in the GBG. The upper part of the pub is in cream render and has a couple of rows of sash windows, the lower frontage is in red and white, with etched windows. There is a rear patio area. The interior has a single L-shaped room, which is in white, grey and coffee wood panel, with beige seating and a patterned carpet. There is a nice brick fireplace. There are a few mirrors and old photos on the walls, and in keeping with the pub name, a number of 1970s styled horse statues dotted about, as well as other ephemera. The fish tank is a little different, though. There is a pool table and there are a few tv's, which had silent Sky Sports News on at my visit. The service was friendly, but it was queit at my visit - more to do with my timing than a reflection of the pub. There was some general background music played at a decent level. Beer; Batemans' XXXB and XB, which was OK - the MILD wasn't on sadly. Definitely worth popping in, it just didn't have much of a choice on the day of my visit.
