Backstreet pub a few minutes from the centre. Retains two rooms via a porch. Larger lounge to right with a mix of padded pew and banquette seating along with whacky wildlife wallpaper on the chimney breast, all done-up in a fairly tasteful - if mildly feminine - manner. Three ales, on St Austell Tribute, Brewpoint Anchorman and Bass (NBSS 3). Spent a few minutes chatting with the friendly landlady. It is also GBG listed.

Good Beer Guide 2024 Entry. A back street boozer about 10mins walk from the town. Alas, the 2024 guide says they did food, so a little disappointed that not even cobs were on offer. If this was the West Midlands - a pub like this would have definitely had cobs. What they did have was Tribute, Bass and probably a couple more. Two roomer, with rugby on the TV and customers interested in it. I didnt quite stay long enough to see if they would swap offer for the FA Cup Final. I needed a cob.
