Boat Inn, Loughborough

The Boat Inn is a nice looking pub that is in a nice location by a canal. This is a long standing Marstons tied house. Once inside there is an L shaped room,there is a pool table to the front right,the room is carpeted with the bar being on the left side. The seating is comfy bench type and chairs and normal tables and chairs,the rear right side is up one step,the floor here is tiled,there is a darts board to the rear right. There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Pedigree,which went down well,the other real ales were Brakspear Bitter,Hobgoblin Gold and a beer called Saddle Tank. I thought this was a very pleasant and comfortable pub to have a drink in. Pub first visited 19/2/1983 Recent visit 1/7/2017

Standard Marston's pub nicely situated on the canal side. Five or six hand pumps, one turned away, but nothing of any great strength. I expect this place to be busy on a summer's day, but I won't be returning.
