Ye Olde John O'Gaunt, Lancaster

A pleasing town centre boozer with good exterior features and a long thin interior layout.A rear area had high tables,there was a banquette ,an upright piano and a raised area acting as a stage towards the front.A guitarist was strumming along with appreciation from the small number of people in the pub.Quite a few handpumps but only two working offering on my trip Titanic Plum Porter and Theakstons x Rooster Peculier Assassin ,a 5.4% black IPA ,NBSS Good. At least each ale was in good nick and were interesting brews,I would pop back in to see whats on offer without the expectation that I would stay for a long session unless the live music was terrific.

A nice little traditional town pub, long and narrow, with the bar down one side. There were only three ales on, but one was a very well-kept Titanic Plum Porter so no complaints from me. A good one to include on a crawl but I don't think I would stop in for a session.
