George & Dragon, Lancaster

My first visit here for a number of years; it used to be a Courage pub when I lived in Lancaster, which would have meant John Smiths Magnet if it had any cask beers at all in the 1980s. On this occasion there were Timothy Taylor Boltmaker and Wainwright. The Boltmaker was very good (NBSS 3.5). Trying to remember what the pub was like 40 years ago, I came up with a complete blank apart from being convinced that the bar had been on the opposite side of the room. Probably complete garbage. Date of visit: 25th February 2023

I had a slightly different problem to Mr Quinno when one of the 'stronger' beers was only being served in half's. Just bought 2 half's then. Still its a very nice pub.
