The Anchor, Sevenoaks

A GBG pub in the high street area, The Anchor is a no-nonsense boozer which offers real ale and basic food at reasonable prices. A corner location, it is a single large bar which has smoked glass windows, external and internal, which gives it an intimate feel. Locals were quietly playing darts and dice, and there were also a pool table and tv which weren't in use. Visitors were warmly welcomed by the staff who are professional and pleasant. There are, according to the notices, regular live music and open mike sessions. Three ales on - I had Copperhead which was perfectly kept and in excellent condition. Highly recommended for its beer and I am certain I will return next time I'm in town.
