The Wig & Pen, Margate

On the face of it this looks like an L shaped room as you enter but in fact is one large room with a central almost island bar. It seemed to be carpeted throughout and the side nearest the entrance had TV screens which were silent when I arrived but one had the sound turned up when a match started. There are just two hand pumps but happily both were from the local Gadds' brewery (No 5 and Gyle 1664). The Gyle 1664 (£3.40) was in good nick. While the TVs here are a bit of a pain I may have been able to avoid them. Credit goes to a pubco local for doing beers from a local brewery rather than the usual dross.
