The Harbour Inn, Folkestone

The True Briton has the feel of a pub that has had an extensive refurbishment at some point in the recent past. The interior is decorated with contemporary furniture and modern décor that make up a bright and airy drinking environment that may not go down with lovers of more traditional pubs. There is a restaurant upstairs that was closed during my recent Monday afternoon visit so I didn’t see any menus or food prices. The bar is stocked with standard draught and the three hand pumps were drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar alongside Greene King’s Abbot Ale and London Glory. There was some low background music playing off a jukebox and Sky Sports was advertised, although there were no screens on during my visit. I found the service to be friendly and I would consider popping in here if I had the family in tow, but I wouldn’t go here on my own for a drink again.
