The Ship, Dartford

Really old-school little pub on the Crayford Road with an unmodernised interior featuring a compact bar at the front and a smaller lounge up a single step towards the back - both parts decorated in an unfussy traditional style. With Courage Best (£4.20) and Tribute on two of the three handpumps, I suspect that the only thing that has changed here over recent years is that the keg mild now comes from Theakston's? Didn't have particularly high hopes, but I liked this place.
