The Lord Haig, Hertford

Fairly basic pub with a traditional interior, located about half-way between Hertford East railway station and the town centre. Three handpumps, with one off and the other two dispensing AK (which was OK, and fairly cheap at £2.60). The barman was friendly enough, and the other customers didn't seem too fussed about having a stranger drop by.

I thought that the governor in here was very friendly and the locals were great with a small group jamming on there guitars in the corner and a dart match was going on meaning that the jukebox was redundant. Sky sports is advertised and I spotted a TV and projector which was good to see for this side of town. Unsurprisingly for the area only AK and Country were available alongside a standard draught selection, but my Guinness was well served. I liked it in here and would choose this place over its peers.
