The White Hart, Waterlooville

Great food available here, the Burnside is also running cask ales, Bitter and Twisted from Harviestoun was ON. Good staff with really friendly service, bar gets busy with locals but no hassle, good craik and banter

Went there Sunday lunchtime [because the Fox & Hounds was full to bursting] The place was 3/4 empty, which I thought ominous for a sunny Sunday lunchtime. My doubts proved to be half right There was a delay at the bar, only one person on at the time. We eventually ordered grub & beer The beer selection was fairly mundane, the usual suspects available, John Smiths smooth etc I opted for Summer Lightning which seemed a safe bet from those available. It was lovely Food was on the pricey side, I had beer battered cod & chips [£8.95] & cheese and biscuits [ a rip off at 3.95] The cod & chips was ok ish, had better and had worse, sort of can't complain but could not praise it, and it took ages to arrive, good job they were not busy
